Ein Konsortium verschiedener Naturkundemuseum und Forschungsinstitute hat unter der Leitung des Zoologisschen Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig (ZFMK) in Bonn an der Erstellung einer funktionst\u00fcchtigen <strong>DNA-Barcode-Referenzbibliothek f\u00fcr Deutschlands Tiere, Pflanzen und Pilze<\/strong> gearbeitet, die nun kommerziell und wissenschaftlich genutzt wird, um Arten \u00fcber ihre DNA bestimmen und nachweisen zu k\u00f6nnen. Durch die Aktivierung der taxonomischen Expertise in Deutschland und engen Kooperationen innerhalb der EU sind auch artenreiche Insektengruppen wie K\u00e4fer und Schmetterlinge in der Datenbank gut abgebildet und zuverl\u00e4ssig auf Artebene molekular bestimmbar. Auch f\u00fcr kleinere Gruppen wie Wildbienen, Wanzen oder Zikaden konnte eine sehr hohe Abdeckung von oft \u00fcber 90% der Arten erzielt werden. Niehuis<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In Summe ist derzeit jedoch nur knapp die H\u00e4lfte der ca. 33.000 Insektenarten Deutschlands molekular erfasst. Es sind gerade diese Insektengruppen, deren Anteil an der tats\u00e4chlich gefundenen Gesamtdiversit\u00e4t in Umwelt- und Massenproben enorm ist (oft \u00fcber 70% der gefundenen Individuen). Die meisten der Individuen lassen sich mangels taxonomischer Expertise nicht auf Artniveau bestimmen oder geh\u00f6ren zu Arten, die wissenschaftlich bisher nicht oder v\u00f6llig unzureichend dokumentiert sind: es sind die sog. <strong>\u201eDark Taxa\u201c<\/strong>. Von besonderer Bedeutung sowohl hinsichtlich Individuen- als auch hinsichtlich Artenzahl sind hierbei die <strong>M\u00fccken<\/strong> und die <strong>parasitoiden Wespen<\/strong> (also Arten, die sich an oder in anderen Insekten entwickeln). Diese Dark Taxa k\u00f6nnen nicht in Arbeiten im Bereich Biodiversit\u00e4tsmonitoring, Naturschutz oder \u00d6kologie einbezogen werden, geschweige denn auf ihre Rolle und ihren Nutzen in nat\u00fcrlichen um menschengemachten \u00d6kosystemen und ihre m\u00f6gliche Gef\u00e4hrdung hin evaluiert werden.
